Susan Weitzman, PhD, authored the ground breaking book, Not To People Like Us, which identifies the unique tactics and characteristics of domestic abuse in upscale marriages. A psychotherapist, litigation consultant, camp consultant and trainer, and national lecturer with over twenty years of clinical experience, Dr Weitzman is recognized internationally as an expert witness on upscale domestic violence and its impact.
Known for her wamth, humor, and insightful approach to difficult cases, Dr. Weitzman brings new hope and possiblity to those wanting support and guidance. She combines an impeccable skill set with listening that makes a difference.

Dr.Weitzman has been the recipient of numerous awards including NASW's Illinois Social Worker of the Year. She is Co-Founder/President of The Weitzman Center, a not-for-profit center dedicated to educating the public and professionals about "upscale abuse."
Formerly on staff at the University of Chicago's Department of Outpatient Psychiatry, and lecturer at the University of Chicago and Loyola University, Dr. Weitzman is in private practice with offices in Chicago and Lincolnshire.
